Chances are you are on this page because you have purchased a product from White's Woodworking Shop and want to properly maintain it.
A considerable amount of time goes into finishing each piece. From the numerous stages of sanding and water popping of the wood grain, and ultimately the application of the wood finish, each step is meticulously performed. Your product has been finished to provide years of enjoyment.
As with most wood products, routine maintenance is recommended. Below, you will find the recommended care instructions for my products.
Regardless of the wood product purchased, perhaps the most important piece of advice is to ensure your item is kept in an environment that has a stable relative humidity of approximately 40%. This is particularly important during the winter months, when the air inside of our homes tends to be drier. Dry air can cause wood to crack or warp.

All products used to make these boards are food-safe.

Clean the board with warm water and mild soap.

Oil regularly with food-grade mineral oil.

Do not place in dishwasher or sink.

Store in an environment that has a relative humidity of approximately 40%.

Outdoor Signs
These signs have a base layer of epoxy followed by multiple layers of UV-resistant marine varnish.

Clean the board with warm water and mild soap.

Every couple of years, lightly sand with 220 grit sandpaper and apply a high-quality UV-resistant marine varnish.
